Indian hills (KFXV) -- A man led several deputies from the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office in a pursuit, this after robbing a store using a firearm.
These are the images of the chase released just this afternoon.
The police chase began in a convenience store located in the small community of Indian Hills.
It was at the 1200 block of FM 491 that the robber threatened the store owner with a handgun.
But what this young man, 19 year old, Pedro Tinoco Jr. did not expect, was while he demanded money, a silent hold-up alarm also known as a panic button was alerting authorities of the robbery.
Tinoco was spotted with a black jacket, blue jeans and a bandana covering his face at the time of the crime.
Moments after Tinico fled in this maroon colored Ford Expedition.The pursuit on FM 491 began.
This images show the robber trying to lose sheriff's deputies taking every turn on his path until finally giving up on the 400 block of Manzanillo Drive in Weslaco.
The deputy exits his unit gun in hand confronting Tinoco.
After being arrested, officers found not one but several live cartridges in his possession.
Tinoco admitted robbing the convenience store. He was taken before a judge accused of aggravated robbery and evading arrest. Tinoco was granted an $85,000 bond.
