PEÑITAS (KFXV) -- A chase ends with a 20 year old man dead who allegedly tried to flee authorities.
Officials say they tried stopping Jose Garza but he ignored them and started a high speed pursuit. Garza then jumped a fence trying to escape police and later fell in an irrigation canal where he drowned.
Officers seized 130 pounds of drugs from his vehicle. Three other men that are allegedly drug scouts for Garza were taken into the custody by police but were later released due to lack of evidence.
